Goodbye my land of green & snow

It's official I've left the country of Canada, sad and depressed but with wonderful weather on my side. I've experienced many fabulous things: Jetboating, Kyaking, Glacier Hiking, Hotsprings, all of which seemed to get me very wet..... Fantastic sights, loads of experience and with 9 other fantabulous people.

Just a couple of stuff ups like getting the van bogged and trying to push it up hill instead of down hill, derrr.

Squirils or racoons eating all our bread for lunch in one night, hungry little buggers

Falling A over T on my rollerblades in Vancover three times, and now have megga scratches scrapes and bruises all over my body.

I'm in seattle now and fly out to ireland tomorrow, little worries as have no agenda now for the rest of the year, trip, life..... But it's all good, love life, the weather is a cool 25 degrees day and night here, and I've had the greatest three weeks ever!!!!

Missing all the comforts of home.

Luv y'all

The Rockies

Look what your missing out on. I wake up to this each morning!!!!!

Banff Hot Springs

Charlies Angles eat your heart out, 1920's swim suits a whole new meaning to the word sexy!!!

Lake Louise

Lake Louise, My massive 14 km trek to the top!!! Well done me!!!

Bloody Bear Proofing

Ok so for the last week we have all been bear proofing, this means anything that smells (excluding humans.... I don't smell) must get locked away.

How many bears between all 10 of us do you think we have seen???

000000000000

But still, with all precautions we must be doing all the right things no bear attacks yet...

Right now I am sitting in an internet cafe in the Rocky mountains, one of the most beautiful places in the world (not the cafe obviously it's kind of dank). I feel like I've been hiking for days, and my body thinks it too.

In the last week and a half I have travelled throughout Canada and seen every major city there is to see in the South, but none compairs to the snow capped mountains of the Rockies...

Did I just mention snow, yep thats right I've been camping in minus degree frezzing temperatures with nothing but some feathers to keep me warm, and you barstards are enjoying the snow right now, hate you all...

No I love the Rockies and everything they have to offer including blue/green lakes, fabulous ice glaciers, elk, racoons, chipmunks, firs, evergreens and bears ????????

Big night out on the town tonight, and tomorrow Jasper where I will spend more time on my arse then my feet surly due to Glacier Hiking

Goodbye, Goodnight, and safe Journeys

P.S. How did leaders camp go?? what news doth though bring moi???

New York New York, Ruddy Subways

Well after leaving at 10.30am on Wednesday and finally checking into my hotel at 9pm on Wednesday I have officially been travelling for 27 hours. I stink, I'm hot, and I am a little frustrated but glad to arrive. Highlights so far......

1. Finding out that you can choose your own movies, Tv, radio, and computer games during flights, kind of turned into a negative after watching the third or fourth movie on the titchiest screen in existance.
2. First celebrity call who should I run into in LA but Eric Banner, much smaller in person, but was just an average Joe like the rest of us standing in line for an hour to get through customs
3. All the fantastic people I've met so far, from the americans on the plane, retired aussies going to Canada, lovely New Yorker showing me how to get to 77th street East Side in Manhatten, and getting there (realising almost there I needed to be on the west side) at least I got to 77th Street!!!
4. A Jamacan Dude dedicating a Jazz song to me playing what looked somewhat like giant woks with drum sticks.
5. My brilliant Taxi driver finally getting me to this ruddy destination, THE BEACON HOTEL.

But in typical Carmen Style, I can't leave you withought highlighting my fantastic errors on making my way here tonight!
1. Catching the wrong Sub and finding myself Down town.
2. Catching the wrong Sub and finding myself in 16th street instead of 77th
3. Catching the right Sub and finding myself on 77th street before realising I was at the wrong end of the Island.
4. Going to check into my room and finding my room mate has deadlocked the door, and I can't get in!!! She betta be nice............

But at the end of the day what we have to focus on is that I made it 27 hours of travelling by I'm at my choosen destination, a little delerious but here all the same.

For those of you at work new foods I tried are: Medditerranian chicken, turkey meat, and that's pretty much it a solid diet of airline food.

Missing everyone, and my mobile phone heaps!!!!!!
